The Perovskite Reliability & Outdoor Validation Environment (PROVE) was established in 2025 with support from University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) and Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP). PROVE focuses on the outdoor performance evaluation and reliability assessment of emerging photovoltaic (PV) technologies, particularly perovskite and tandem solar modules.

Despite rapid advances in laboratory efficiency, the long-term performance and reliability of emerging PV technologies under real-world operating conditions remain key challenges to their commercialisation. PROVE aims to bridge the gap between laboratory research and real-world applications through systematic outdoor testing and long-term performance monitoring.

By providing independent, transparent and scientifically rigorous field-testing data and analysis, PROVE seeks to support researchers, manufacturers, industry partners and investors in evaluating technology performance, understanding degradation behaviour and accelerating the commercialisation of next-generation PV technologies.
